Colton Dean, who recently completed his sophomore year at Canon-McMillan High in Pennsylvania and is representing Stallions Track Club, won the boys 15-16 division decathlon title with a lifetime-best 6,456 points at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Dean produced the top marks in the 100-meter dash at 10.96, the long jump at 22-4.50 (6.82m), the 110-meter hurdles at 15.52 and 115-7 (35.24m) in the discus throw to improve on his personal-best performance by more than 650 points.
